Residential pest control for Northwest Arkansas homes

A one-time treatment, or quarterly visits every 90 days, for ants, wolf spiders, house spiders, roaches, wasps and bed bugs.

Chapter 01

The pests EverGreen treats

EverGreen's residential pest control covers six things: ants, wolf spiders, house spiders, roaches, wasps and bed bugs. That is the list the crew works from, and it is the list to call about if any of them have turned up in the kitchen, the garage or along the siding.

They are not all the same problem. Ants are usually following a trail to food or water, and a gap around a pipe or a crack in the foundation is all a trail needs. Wolf spiders hunt along the ground and wander in, while house spiders settle into corners and build webs. Wasps like sheltered spots such as eaves, soffits and porch ceilings, which is why most people notice a nest only after it has grown.

Bed bugs are the odd one out. They usually arrive on luggage, used furniture or clothing instead of crawling in from the yard, and they hide well in seams and bed frames. That combination is why they are a job for a licensed professional and not a can from the hardware store. If that is what you are dealing with, say so when you call.

One visit or every 90 days

There are two ways to start. EverGreen's one-time treatment is designed to keep these bugs out of your home. If one treatment is not enough, EverGreen develops a specialized program with multiple treatments.

For ongoing protection, the crew visits quarterly, every 90 days. A standing schedule suits houses that get the same pests every season: the ants that return with the first warm weeks, the spiders that move in along the foundation, the roaches that never quite leave.

One Google reviewer who called about pest control wrote that Shane got the service scheduled quickly and did an amazing job in just one visit. Not every house needs a standing plan, and some do. Call the office, describe what you are seeing, and decide from there.

Chapter 03

What a quarterly visit includes

A quarterly visit is a set round of work on the outside of the house, with the inside handled when you ask.

The round is an exterior perimeter treatment, dusting of cracks and crevices, and knocking down and eliminating cobwebs. The idea behind a perimeter treatment is simple: most of what ends up inside a house crosses the outside edge of it first, so that edge is where the work happens. Dusting is aimed at the gaps and voids where bugs travel and hide.

Cobwebs come down too, which clears old webbing from eaves, porch ceilings and door frames and makes new activity easier to spot on the next visit. An interior spot treatment is available at your request, so if the problem is a particular room, ask for it.

Why not do it yourself

EverGreen's reasoning comes down to four things. First, getting rid of bugs and insects yourself is a challenge, and if you have already tried everything under the sun, you know it. Second, they can infiltrate your food and pantry items, which turns a nuisance into a cleanout.

Third, cockroaches are dangerous to people with allergies and asthma. Fourth, some of these bugs bite and attack your body. Any one of those is a reason to stop experimenting; together they are the reason to hand it to someone who treats houses for a living.

If the problem is getting worse, it is cheaper in time and stress to call early than to wait for the next season.

Licensed for the work

EverGreen holds a Commercial Applicator License Operator, Class 2: Household and Commercial Pest Control and Rodent Control. Class 2 is the pest side of the business. Their Class 4 license covers ornamental tree and shrub care and weed control, which is the other half of what the same crew does.

Ask the technician what is going on your house. Kyle Collins wrote in a Google review that “The technicians are very informative on what they are applying.” That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

“I use them for pest controll. Shane is super knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely easy to talk to. Got my service scheduled very quickly. Did an amazing job in just 1 visit.” chris corbell, Google review

Back every 90 days

A yard flag tells you what was done and when to stay off; a quarterly pest plan works the same way, with a return visit every 90 days. EverGreen offers an annual prepaid discount on residential pest control. Call for details.
